Predicted: Indian Test Squad for England Tour
With the lone Test against Afghanistan coming to an end in just 2 days after a clinical performance against in-experienced Afghans, India will look to capitalise on the form when the most awaited England tour begins. Talking about the 5 match Test Series, it will be the first time that India will play the Tests after the limited overs leg of the tour and that too in month of August, so expect some spin friendly pitches in the series. Moreover moving onto the squad, with England struggling a bit with their batting it is likely that Virat led side will consist of some good swing & pace bowlers and a variety of spinners too. So, coming straight onto the squad, the team is more or less is expected to be same that played against Afghanistan with minor changes.

So, here is the squad:
The team is likely to carry two openers along with a back-up. Shikhar Dhawan & Murali Vijay are expected to be first choice openers with KL.Rahul as a back-up or can be used in the middle-order in case of any injury, as he batted at no. 3 in Ind vs Afg Test. Currently all the openers are in form as Murali Vijay & Shikhar Dhawan scored centuries and Rahul scored a fifty odd in the recently concluded Test.

The middle order is all set with no positions to grab until there is a injury. So, the 3 to 5 slots will be handled by Pujara, Captain Virat Kohli & Vice-Captain Ajinkya Rahane. There is still no update regarding Virat’s injury, with Pujara & Rahane failing to score in the lone Afghanistan Test. But are likely to come handy in England. Also, Karun Nair is expected to travel as a back-up.
Wicket-Keeper & All-Rounder:-
With a good performance with Gloves Dinesh Karthik is likely to retain his place in the squad because of his good form but Saha might pip him in-terms of experience, as of now that is not likey to happen. Meanwhile the all-rounder spot is well decided and is in hands of Hardik Pandya after a brisk 70 odd in match against Afghanistan and because of a good performace with the ball in IPL.
Also, in a shocking report from PTI, after M.Shami failed Yo-Yo Test, Ambati Rayudu too failed the Yo-Yo Test today is set to be axed from Indian One-Day Squad for England Tour.
The spin department will be led by Ashwin, with Jadeja as a back-up because according to conditions India will play only one spinner. Both have shown great form in the recently concluded Test by taking 5 & 6 wickets respectively.
Umesh & Ishant who played against Afghanistan showed good form and Umesh also reached milestone of 100 wickets in Tests. The other two spots are to be taken by Bhuvneshwar Kumar & Jasprit Bumrah as M.Shami is not likely to be included due to his failure in Yo-Yo Test.
Also, it is expected that some of the players of the Indian Test Squad will play under IndiaA Coach Rahul Dravid as a preparation for the grueling Test Series against Engalnd.
