CSK vs DD: Preview

After a tight loss and injury to ace pacer Deepak Chahar, CSK is set to play DD who won their last match by a big margin against KKR. Both teams have been consistent throughout all the previous seasons with CSK always ending up in top four and DD always ending in bottom four except first sesason. With change in Captaincy and few injuries DD can still pose a big challenge to CSK.

Pitch: The match will be played at MCA Stadium, Pune. The pitch here is always batsman friendly but with back to back games on the venue, it is likely that the same pitch will be used which was used in CSK vs MI match, so expect a slow track for the game.

Head to Head: Till now both teams have faced each other 16 times with CSK winning 11 and DD winning 5. So, it is evident that CSK has upper hand on DD.

Comparison- Both teams are well balanced with CSK more batting heavy as well as a better fielding side. Both teams are even-stevens on the basis of bowling department so far.

DD- No changes are expected.

Playing XI:- Prithvi Shaw, Munro, Shreyas(C), R.Pant(Wk), Maxwell, Shankar, Plunkett, Tewatia, Mishra, Avesh Khan, Boult

CSK- With Deepak Chahar getting injured in the last and later reported that he will be out of action for two weeks due to a hamstring injury, so they are likely to play un-capped David Willey to strengthen both batting and bowling with Karn Sharma also to be included in place of Tahir.

Playing XI:- Watson, Rayudu, Raina, Dhoni(C/Wk), Billings, DJ.Bravo, D.Willey, Jadeja, H.Singh, K.Sharma, Shardul Thakur
