The pitch at the chepauk is expected to be more spin friendly, so at the auctions the mangement decided to take as many as 4 leading International spinners including injured spinner Mitchell Santner.
The team will definitely go with the same openers i.e. Watson and Du Plessis which means Murali Vijay is likely to miss out on the intial games, with middle-order and lower middle order expected to remain same with Raina, Dhoni, Rayudu and Bravo taking up 3 to 6 slots, Kedar Jadhav might be the one who could lose his place to Karn Sharma for the home games. Jadeja and Harbhajan will be taking up 7 & 8 slot respectively and Shardul and Wood taking the last two. So, far Karn Sharma has played 56 games in which he has taken 49 wickets with a impressive average of 27 and a good economy of 7.68 and also he is a handy batsman down the order and his inclusion makes the team more balanced than the Away XI.
