Injury Concerns put SA in jeopardy: 2nd ODI Preview
Just in the South African Captain Faf Du Plessis has been ruled out of the series against India due to a finger injury which he sustained during the 1st ODI which South Africa lost. All-rounder Fahraan Beherdarin has been called into the squad, also Heinrich Klassen has been called into squad as a reserve keeper. The probables to Captain the team in Faf’s absence are opening batsman Hashim Amla and seasoned Campaigner JP.Duminy. Amla has Captained the side in past but without Du Plessis and De Villiers the team looks pretty weak.
Well talking about the 1st match it was a total entertainer but one thing that surprised everyone was Rahane’s inclusion at no.4 and South Africa’s decision to not open with Markarm. Both Captain’s strucked centuries and Virat was adjuged as Man of the Match for his 119 balls 112. Kuldeep was pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets.
Pitch and Conditions:
The match will be played at SuperSport Park, Centurion and it is a day game so the pitch is expected to be dry but having already 0-1 down in the series South Africa might emphasis on a quick and green wicket.
Time: 13:30 IST, Date: 4th Feb 2018
No changes are expected from the Indian team. Shami might come in place of Chahal if the pitch is green and hepful for quicks.
