CSK Squad: Auction Day 2 Review

After a average 1st day in auction, CSK looked preety relaxed and did’nt went among the big players soon but when they tried to get some of there old players, it eventually ended in a no. They first went for Mohit Sharma but Punjab used RTM for him and then they went on to buy Shardul Thakur for 2.6 Crore which is a good price for a bowler like Shardul, he was very impressive in last IPL and was one of the main factor for RPS run to finals. Then CSK went on for some uncapped players which includes: Local boy N.Jagadessan for 20 Lakh- Batsman

Deepak Chahar for 80 Lakh- Bowler

Asif KM for 40 Lakh- Bowler

Dhruv Shorey for 20 Lakh- Batsman

Kanishk Seth for 20 Lakh- All-Rounder

They also fetched some surprising players but indeed some were actually needed to boost the team. Lungi Ngidi the new South African spearhead has been bought for 50 Lakh, he has taken 43 wickets in 39 T-20 matches so far. Further, they picked Mitchell Santner for 50 Lakh, the New-Zealand Allrounder can be a good asset for the team.

In 2nd half of the day, CSK went onto buy Local Boy Murali Vijay for his base price of 2 Crore and then they bought Sam Billings for 1 Crore and moving on further they surprisingly went on to buy Mark Wood, the tall lanky fast bowler from England for 1.50 Crore and finally they completed their squad of 25 with addition of Monu Singh for 20 Lakh, Kshitiz Sharma for 20 Lakh and AllRounder Chaitnaya Bishnoi for 20 Lakh.

So, far looking into this CSK Squad it looks a bit Wierd but it might take team to new heights and it will be interesting to see how Captain Cool plays with such a kind of squad.
