Nehra Ji and the Local Boy: 1st T-20 Preview
After another series loss Aussies are back to battle it out in the shortest format of the game. In the current scenario Australia is placed at 7th and India at 4th in ICC T-20 rankings. So far Aussies have not managed to perform well in this format and more over Smith’s Captaincy in this format has come under scanner, While India is one of the most successful team of this format and taking a look into the past record India won their last home series against England handsomly and the lone T-20 against Srilanka also. Where as Australia has been on the other end despite having best of the talents they are losing throughout in a bad manner. This tour so far has been a disastrous one for them and in build to Ashes 2017, the Aussies are looking de-motivated and stressed. Overall it looks like a win-win situation for India in the first T-20.
The most of the players in the squad are same which played against Srilanka in a lone T-20 last month, the only addition to the squad is Ashish Nehra and Dinesh Kartik. Ashish Nehra is back after a long injury lay-off 4 months and in his recent interview with Gaurav Kapoor, he revealed that he want to play as long as he can and also he is one of the few players who played under the Captaincy of M.Azzaruddin and so far Ashish Nehra has completed over 18 years while playing for India and he is one of the most effective Left-Arm pacer for India in current scenario and his Inclusion in the squad has created headache for Kohli in choosing his pacers for the match. Also Shikhar Dhawan is back in the squad and is likely to open alongside KL Rahul, while Rohit is expected to bat at 4 as his record in IPL is great at that position.

Talking about Aussies, they have revamped the T-20 team, many players like T.Paine, J.Bherendroff are in the side who performed well in Big Bash League last year and except Cummins, the pace battery remains the same and so as the Captain is also same i.e. the frustrated boy Smith.
JustIn: Smith has been ruled out of T-20 series against India due to Shoulder Injury and Marcus Stoinis is named as replacement. Warner has been named as Stand In Skipper by Australia.
Warner(C), Finch, Paine(Wk), Stoinis, Maxwell, Henriques, Christian, Zampa, Coulter-Nile, Jason Behrendroff, Richardson
