ICC CT 2017: Final Round

With all the 4 semi-finalists confirmed, it’s time for action, England and Pakistan are up against each other at SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff tomorrow. With England once again reaching into Knock-outs by winning all their group matches on other hand Pakistan reached by stunning Proteas and mighty lankans, both teams look good but England are more settled as compare to Pakistan, also Pakistan played their last group game on the same ground but England still hold an edge by being the home team.

India vs Bangladesh

With a dominating win over South Africa, India sealed their semi-final berth in style, covering all their bases perfectly and as of now India has no concern over non-availability of any player. With a thrashing win over New Zealand, the Bangla tigers reached the semis for the first time. But still Bangladesh don’t look to be settled as of their main batsman’s are concerned, constant failure of both Soumaya Sarkar and Rahim had led Bangladesh in trouble against the hosts but good performances by Shakib and Mahmuddulah and Vintage Tamim Iqbal showed that Bangladesh have the caliber to upset any full member in a big tournament.

With the game to be played at Brimingham, chances of match being abandon by rain still exist. Being a day game both the teams will be looking to bowl first and restrict the other, but so far in the tournament chasing is being preferred as it is a lot easier to chase rather than putting the score on board.

On Contrast both the teams look settled but as we go on head to head India look more comfortable than Bangladesh, also Bangladesh playing after 13 years in this tournament it is still unknown what they can do.

FACTS:

Both Yuvraj Singh and Bangladesh Cricket team are playing in Champions Trophy after a gap of more than 10 years.

Shikhar Dhawan is the leading run-scorer of Champions Trophy 2013 and he is also leading the Charts with a aggregate of 271 runs in CT 2017.
